    Done

Yard design, materials and plants, utility locates booked.

    Luis Ortega · Oct 5

Design is approved and the utility locates are clear! The plan has the charcoal paver patio off the back door, a curved stone wall with wide steps up to the lawn, and the planting bed with your Japanese maple.

    Tear-Out & Excavation

    Took 2 days

Break out the old patio, strip the old sod and dig out for the new yard.

Luis Ortega · 13 days ago

The old concrete patio and the old sod are out and hauled away. The excavator is done, so grading starts tomorrow.

  3. Oct 21

    Grading & Drainage

    Took 4 days

Shape the yard, lay the drain line behind the wall, stake the patio.

Luis Ortega · 8 days ago

The yard is graded so everything drains away from the house, and the drain line is in behind where the wall goes. The patio edge is staked so you can see its size.

    Questions on this stage 5

    • You · 3 hours agoThe wall looks amazing! Is the top wide enough to sit on?
    • Luis · 2 hours agoYes, the caps are 14 inches deep, so the whole wall doubles as seating along the patio.
    • You · 2 hours agoLove that. Could we run power for a little fountain in the back bed?
    • Luis · 1 hour agoEasy, the trench beside the wall is still open, so we can lay the conduit before the pavers go down. I’ll send you a quick quote today. No change to the schedule.
    • You · 35 min agoAmazing, thank you!
