How Does Trace Work?

You talk the job through, and Trace writes the plan. Each stage lands on a line with its dates. Your client gets one link by text or email and sees the job on that line: today's stage, the photos, and what's next. When the work moves, you post an update and the line moves with it.

Day one: the plan

Tap the mic and describe the job the way you'd tell your crew: what you're doing, in what order, roughly when. Trace turns it into stages with real durations. Drag, edit or add any stage before you send it.

Sending it

  • Send it with your quote: your client sees the plan, and your price if you add one, and approves it
  • Or start the job: the timeline goes live right away
  • Either way, your client gets one link by text and email. No app, no password

Every day

Post an update on today's stage: a photo and a line. Type it, dictate it, or let Trace write it from your notes. Your client gets a text with the link.

Your client's side

One page: today's stage up top, the whole job underneath, photos on every stage, and a way to message you.
